Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify. On each visit, Netlify processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, timestamp, requested address and browser identifier. This is required to operate the site; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure delivery under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Netlify also processes data in the USA.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which content is in demand. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; for processing in the USA, Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA is responsible.

Processed data are the shortened IP address, pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device and browser. Google Analytics 4 shortens the IP address before any storage; a full IP address is never logged. In addition, Google Consent Mode v2 is set up: all consent signals start as “denied” and are only switched after your approval.

The legal basis is exclusively your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Without your approval, the Google code is not loaded at all and no cookie is set. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — the switch is right below this section. The lawfulness of processing up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Google sets the cookie _ga with a lifetime of two years and _ga_<ID> likewise with two years. We delete the associated usage data after 14 months. On withdrawal we delete these cookies immediately.

The data are also transferred to the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; an adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023 therefore covers this transfer. Google’s standard contractual clauses apply in addition. Even so, access by US authorities cannot be entirely ruled out.

Fonts, scripts and browser storage

The fonts (Manrope, Source Sans 3) and all program libraries are hosted on our own server. There is no embedding of Google Fonts, no content delivery network and no other third party — when you open this page, your IP address goes to nobody except the services named below. Likewise there are no embedded videos, social media buttons, contact forms or newsletter.

In your browser’s local storage we keep exactly one entry: your decision about analytics. It is technically necessary in order to respect your choice, contains no identifier and is never transmitted anywhere. Without consent, this website sets no cookies.

Support assistant

The chat on this website answers questions about the app. Your message is sent to our server and from there, via the broker OpenRouter, Inc. (USA), to the language model Claude by Anthropic PBC (USA), which generates the answer; processing therefore also takes place outside the EU. We do not store conversations permanently. Your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit abuse. Please do not enter personal or confidential data in the chat. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in working support under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the chat only runs once you open it yourself and type something into it.

The app itself

The MBMusic PRO.App collects no personal data. No account, no login, no tracking, no advertising, no analytics services. All content — MIDI files, MP3s, styles and settings — stays on your device or in your own iCloud. The app works fully offline.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us at info@mbmusic-pro.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
